CEDARWOOD (Cedrus atlantica) A warm, balsamic, woody aroma. It is relaxing and soothing when used for massage and can be used to maintain healthy lung function. Cedarwood has long been used as a beneficial ingredient in cosmetic preparations for oily skin. Common Uses: antiseptic, antiputrescent, antiseborrheic, aphrodesiac, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, fungicidal, mucilytic, sedative (nervous), stimulant (circulatory), tonic. In India, Himalayan Cedarwood oil has been shown to possess insecticidal and antifungal properties and to have some potential for control of fungal deterioration of spices during storage.
