Harvested in 1/3rd bloom, which Dana Clay Young discovered to be the perfect time - not pre-bloom or post-bloom. Steam distilled from leaves and flowers of the Thymus vulgaris plant. Native to the Western Mediterranean area. Used by ancient Greeks to ward off infectious disease. Historically used for digestive and respiratory issues. Thyme can be found in toothpastes, mouthwash, cold remedies and cosmetics. Note: Due to the supply of the raw materials, some oils may not be available during certain times of the year.
