Discover the meaning of your name. Surname (last name) histories are 3-4 paragraphs long (approximately 230-310 words--the longest, most detailed name histories we've ever seen!). They are printed on 8 1/2 x 11 paper (your choice of design) on a laser printer so that they are archival safe and photo friendly. Each will arrive in a polypropylene page protector, they are suitable for framing or placing in a Book of Remembrance or Scrapbook. Some of the things a surname history will tell you are: where your name originated (sometimes this can be several different countries!), why it became a surname, and what it means. You can purchase additional copies of the SAME surname for only $2.00 each--these make great gifts for family members. You will need to contact us via phone (208-852-2295) or e-mail (info@TracesEtc.com) to do this. We research and write each name ourselves, this is what we started out in the business world doing. Yes, if your name is made up we can do it--all names were made up at one time or another. If we have already researched and written your name it will go out in the next two days, if not, please allow 3-5 weeks for the name to be researched and written. On very rare occasions we just simply cannot find any information on a name. In these instances your money will be refunded in full.
